Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

1. Introduction

Besample, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website getbesample.com (the "Service"). Besample, Inc. is located at 68 Jay Street, Suite 501, Brooklyn, NY 11201 and can be reached at [email protected].

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices you have. It applies to personal information collected through getbesample.com and through direct communications with us.

Besample's core product audits survey response data submitted by market research agencies. This Policy covers personal information associated with visitors and account holders on getbesample.com. Respondent data submitted to the Besample API for quality analysis is governed separately by the data-processing terms agreed between the Company and each research-agency customer; survey respondents who have questions about their data should contact the research agency that fielded their survey.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you submit directly, including:

  • Contact details (name, work email, phone) when you fill out the early-access request form, contact form, or sign-in form;
  • Company information you choose to share (agency name, role, primary survey regions where you field research);
  • The content of any messages you send us via the contact form or email.

When you request early access to the Besample platform, we ask which emerging-market regions you field research in (MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa, APAC, Latin America, or Other). This information helps us configure region-specific quality thresholds and is not used for any other purpose.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit getbesample.com, we automatically collect limited technical information:

  • IP address and approximate location (city or region level), used to understand where researchers accessing the platform are based;
  • Browser type, operating system, and device class;
  • Pages visited, referring URLs, and time on page;
  • Cookie and similar identifiers (see Section 5 and our Cookie Policy).

We do not collect precise geolocation data (GPS coordinates) from visitors to getbesample.com. IP-derived location is coarse (city or region) and is not treated as sensitive personal information. Note that Besample's survey quality product can analyze geolocation signals within respondent submissions made by research-agency customers via the API; such respondent data is out of scope for this Policy.

2.3 We Do Not Knowingly Collect Children's Data

getbesample.com is a business-to-business platform directed to market research professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to early-access requests, contact form submissions, and inquiries from research agencies interested in piloting Besample;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service and the survey-quality platform;
  • Configure region-appropriate quality thresholds for customers fielding research in MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa, APAC, and Latin America;
  • Send service updates and, with your consent where required, information about Besample features relevant to emerging-market fieldwork;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or unauthorized access to the platform;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information for monetary value. Where applicable state law treats certain advertising arrangements as a "sale" or "share," see your state's section below.

4. Sharing of Information

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf (for example, hosting infrastructure, transactional email delivery, and usage analytics) under contractual confidentiality terms that prohibit independent use of the data;
  • Authorities, when required by law or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company or others;
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not provide personal information to marketing data brokers.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your session preferences, and measure aggregate usage. We do not set third-party advertising or behavioral-targeting cookies. For full details and opt-out instructions, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal or accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Specifically:

  • Early-access request submissions are retained for the duration of your engagement with Besample and up to 36 months thereafter;
  • Contact form and email communications are retained for up to 36 months from the date of last correspondence;
  • Inactive marketing-list contacts are purged after 24 months of inactivity;
  • Server access logs are retained for 90 days, then aggregated and stripped of individual identifiers.

Respondent-level survey data submitted via the Besample API is retained per the terms agreed with each research-agency customer and is not governed by this Policy.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. These include TLS encryption for data in transit, restricted-access databases, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your General Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including the right to access, correct, delete, or limit the processing of your personal information. To make a request, email [email protected] with a description of your request and sufficient information to verify your identity. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

If you are a California resident, you may also exercise the rights granted under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. The Company does not sell personal information and does not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
